Project Backyard

Since the day we moved in we have wanted a bigger patio space. Or outdoor living space as it would be called on HGTV.  A few weeks ago my aunt got my moms boyfriend to build her a huge deck.  I didn't really think it would look super great. But when I saw it, it looked awesome!

Roll Over, Margaret!

If you put Margaret on her back, and leave the room for a second, she's likely to be on her stomach by the time you return.

Building up to Cuddling

Historically Margaret hasn't been much for snuggling.  There are certain ways she likes to be held, but none that I'd describe as snuggly or cuddly.  For the past week or so, however, she's starteg getting fidgety and wiggly early in the morning in bed.  To prolong her sleep, Liz has begun pulling Margaret next to her and snuggling up next to her.  Margaret must like it, becuase she'll usually quiet back down and sleep for another hour or two.  This morning, before I left for work, I stopped by the bed to say goodbye to Margaret and Liz, and they were all cuddled up next to each other.

Theme

Looking for a new layout and I am bored with this look.

On a side note ordered Will a new plane and still checking the mail daily for my Apple Gift card.

Margaret can make sounds with her mouth now that you would think are coming from somewhere else.  She thinks they are funny, so of course we think they are really funny!

Whimpering from a little girl...

This morning Margaret was tossing in bed. Which is very normal for her before getting up. Usually with in 30 seconds of picking her up you get multiple farts. Then she is ready to eat.

Flickr: Sharing Photos Easily

Disclaimer

This article is mostly intended for my close friends and family.  It's not an exhaustive review of all of the photo sharing options available on the web, but is mainly focused on flickr.com.

The Scenario

You are loading up your computer with a fresh batch of pictures from your digital camera, and you are ready to share them with your friends and family. You take the path of least resistance and email them to everyone.  But you have 100 pictures.  Which ones do you send?  Who do you send them to?  Did you forget anyone?  Uh-oh... the one to your sister bounces because her mailbox is full, or your message is larger than what her provider allows.  Oh, and you didn't email your nephew because he doesn't use the same email address anymore, so you ask someone to forward to him.  For the next few weeks the family is abuzz about the new pictures.  Did you see the new one of Baby Joe?  No.  I didn't get that one.  Will you forward it to me?  Let's see if I can find it again.  I must have deleted it.  Sorry, maybe John can forward it to you.

Recent Thoughts on Margaret and Other Babies

There are a few new things going on with Margaret.  She's becoming more vocal.  We posted a video of it earlier tonight.  She's also becoming much more content.  During the second month, it seemed like she was a pretty high maintenance baby, needing to be held almost all of the time that she was awake.  This month she's been much happier about sitting in her bouncy chair or laying on her back on the floor.  She's even started looking at the TV and some of the dangly hangy toys we have for her.  Overall she's becoming more interactive.  It's really satisfying to see her react to you.  I actually got her to stop crying once this week by playing with her.  I covered her face with a blanked, then pulled it away and said "Wheeee!".  It took two or three times, but she rewarded me with a big smile and by replacing the crying with happy noises.
